Doug Pohlman
Doug is the newest employee of MGM Communications, starting in November 2007, but he is not new to the IT industry. He started building and working on computers in the year 2000, gaining knowledge through self study and working on family and friends' computers.
Around 2003, Doug started going to school at Owens Community College for various networking and computer repair classes they offered, as well as becoming a student worker, helping to maintain the computer labs at one of the campus buildings. The next few years he held various job positions, from a technician for a small computer shop, to doing contract work for several national multi billion dollar corporations.
The contract work was interesting and a good experience, but due to the nature of working for different companies based on need, the work was never steady enough. So one day while browsing the Internet looking for a more permanent source of work, Doug came across the advertisement for MGM Communications. They were looking for a computer technician, which was just the kind of position Doug was looking for. After a sucessful interview, Doug was offered the position and he graciously accepted it.
